Thirty-two years ago my brother sang these as his vows at his wedding. Today, his daughter is singing them to her soon to be husband. Few if any know this yet, I do because she confided in me and asked it she should tell her dad as he has been sick recently.

She is using the dialog part from, "I Maria," and is saying both sets of words before she sings only she is substituting Robert for Anton. Her name IS Maria.

I too love this song, as I do all other West Side Story arias/duets. The best version of this duet, though, is featured in the re-recording of the soundtrack with Kiri Te Kanawa and José Carreras, conducted by none other than Leonard Bernstein himself! I also recommend the DVD of the recording of said release - very interesting.
